- Hydrate More!
- Drinking water is not only good for your health but it also can help with dry skin and hair! Finding a water bottle that you will actually be able to carry around and clean regularly I have found very important!
- Set weekly goals/to-do’s
- Setting weekly goals or to-do lists can give you the motivation you need to accomplish certain tasks like going to workout or saving a certain amount of money. Writing out weekly to-do lists keeps me from forgetting certain things I want to get done for the week and I feel much more organized!
- Limiting time on social media
- Social media before bed can be very bed for not only your brain but your eyes as well, staring at a blue light for a long period of time can be damaging for your eyes. Social media can also be a black hole, meaning you go on to check one thing and the next thing you know you’ve spent 3 hours scrolling. Reading a book, listening to a podcast or meditating 20 mins before bed can improve your overall mental health and sleep.
- Exercise
- If you are not one who is interested in going to the gym 5 times a week spending hours lifting weights I am here to tell you that’s absolutely okay. Find something you enjoy doing that allows you to also get physical exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, if that’s going for a walk outside or on a treadmill, your gym, or going to a workout class like yoga or cycling whatever it is, do it because you enjoy it not because everyone else is doing it!
- Make time for yourself
- If there is something I have learned in 2023 it’s how important finding time to do things for yourself like, take slow days, self-care nights, morning routines, solo dates, and cooking for yourself. Life can get very busy sometimes and your personal priorities start to slip away and eventually you will end up burnt out. Try planning out days for yourself each month to avoid burnouts and mental breakdowns.
